Investing in Science for a Sustainable Future
We concentrate our research efforts in Florida and the Caribbean, a region of great biodiversity and coastal areas where enormous ecological pressures are exerted.
Our multidisciplinary research provides several results: First, it leads to a deeper understanding and increased appreciation of the world in which we live. Second, it provides a baseline of data against which we can measure changes, and information that can be put to practical use, possibly reducing our impact on these animals and their environment. And third, the advancement of knowledge helps to increase public awareness and support from the general public, a key element for successful conservation efforts.
